Pinterest Connector Privacy Policy

Who we are
Hairy Hand Productions operates a private, AI-assisted Pinterest connector for Andrew Park and Hairy Hand Productions. The connector is for internal, single-user use and is not offered to the public or to unrelated third parties.
This policy explains how the connector handles information received through the Pinterest API. Hairy Hand Productions is the controller responsible for that use.
Information the connector may process
When the Pinterest account owner authorises the connector, it may process:
• Basic Pinterest account information and identifiers.
• Boards, board sections, Pins, Pin media links, descriptions and related metadata belonging to the authenticated account.
• Account analytics or reporting data, where the account owner grants the relevant permission.
• OAuth access and refresh tokens needed to maintain the authorised connection.
• Limited technical logs needed to operate, secure and troubleshoot the connector.
The connector uses only the Pinterest permissions approved by the account owner. It does not receive or store the account's Pinterest password.
How we use the information
Pinterest data is used only to:
• Authenticate and maintain the connection requested by the account owner.
• Retrieve and organise Hairy Hand Productions' own Pinterest boards and Pins.
• Create, update or schedule Pinterest content when the account owner explicitly instructs the connector to do so.
• Support internal visual research and content-production workflows.
• Provide reporting, diagnose errors and protect the connector from misuse.
Pinterest data is not sold, rented, used for third-party advertising or used to build profiles about unrelated Pinterest users.
Service providers and disclosure
The connector may use trusted cloud-hosting, automation and AI service providers to perform actions requested by the account owner. Those providers receive only the information needed to operate the requested function and process it under their own contractual and security obligations.
Information is also sent to Pinterest when the connector makes an authorised API request. We may disclose information where required by law or where necessary to protect the security and legal rights of Hairy Hand Productions or others. We do not share Pinterest data with third parties for their own marketing.
Storage and retention
OAuth tokens are retained only while needed to keep the connector authorised and are removed or rendered unusable when the connection is revoked, deleted or expires. Cached Pinterest content and technical logs are kept only for as long as reasonably needed to complete the requested workflow, maintain security or resolve a problem.
The account owner can revoke the connector through Pinterest's account settings. To request deletion of connector data, email andrew@hairyhand.co. We will action a valid request as soon as reasonably practicable, subject to any limited retention required by law or security needs.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect credentials and Pinterest data from unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
International processing
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this occurs, we rely on the safeguards provided by those services and applicable data-protection law.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of personal information, and to object to certain processing. Because this is a private single-user connector, requests should be sent directly to the contact address below.
Pinterest is a separate service and its own privacy policy governs information Pinterest collects and processes. This connector is not endorsed by or affiliated with Pinterest beyond its authorised use of the Pinterest API.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the connector, its permissions or applicable requirements change. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are made.
